Australia and New Zealand have a rich history of War Comic book publishing.
With the end of World War II and the easing of paper rationing and new publication embargoes, several titles often reprinted from the United States Comics publishers like DC, Marvel, and Charlton gained popularity.
Horwitz Publications, Planet Comics, and Federal Comics were publishing several thousand comics each edition, and many went unsold as popularity dwindled for reprints.
Today, the Australian and New Zealand War Comic Industry includes many references to past ANZAC battles and has some fantastic illustrators and storytellers to add to a niche collection in this area.
