Picture Post was a groundbreaking photojournalistic magazine published in the UK from 1938 to 1957. Renowned as a pioneering example of its genre, it achieved success, selling 1,000,000 copies within just two months of launch. Often regarded as the UK's counterpart to Life magazine, its editorial stance was liberal, anti-fascist, and populist, actively campaigning against the persecution of Jews Nazi Germany from the start. The issue dated 26 November 1938 featured a photo story titled "Back to the Middle Ages," showcasing images of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, and Hermann Göring alongside those of the scientists, writers, and actors they targeted.
