Australia's National Security A Defence Update 2005 By Australian Government Department Of Defence
On 27 April 1999 the Minister for Defence asked the Committee to inquire into the suitability of the Australian Army for peacetime, peacekeeping and war. In conducting such an inquiry, the Committee was asked to review the current and proposed changes to Army to ensure that it provides viable and credible land forces able to meet a range of contingencies.
Written submissions are invited from organisations and individuals interested in placing evidence before the Committee.
