Worrals Flies Again (1949) By Captain W. E. Johns

Worrals Flies Again by W. E. Johns was first published in September 1942 by Hodder and Stoughton. Although it was the second Worrals book to be published, it was actually the third story. It was written later and the plot was set after events in the book Worrals Carries On which was published a month later in October 1942. Worrals Flies Again was also serialized in Girl's Own Paper between October 1942 and December 1943. The Hodder and Stoughton edition went through a number of impressions in 1942, 1948, 1949, culminating in the 5th impression in 1950. In 2013, Indiebooks issued a new edition.

In 1971, French publisher Aredit published a two-part comic strip adaptation of the story entitled Courrier secret and Le château de la rose in their small format comic series for girls Tina, in issues 35 and 36.

The events in the book take place in France during the Second World War.
